Cheap Compost
For your garden
There are lots of companies out there from the big players like Garden Wildlife Direct to smaller companies like Peckamix and Ivel Valley Bird Food. Not to mention marketplaces like Amazon and ebay. In recent times the price of bird food is soaring, with most companies adding as much as £20 to the cost of a bag! So how can you continue supporting your local wildlife without going bankrupt? Let us show you how.
See below for offers and discount codes for the top online bird food brands. Click here or scroll to the bottom of this page for further guidance, hints and money saving tips. Including how to make the most of your email address.
Keep in mind that for companies that want you to create an account or sign up to marketing emails to get a discount, there is a better way than just giving them your email address. See our email tips at ther bottom of this page for more information.
Haiths also offer weekly emails. Typically they either do a sale or 10% off a product or product group, Haiths rarely offer discount codes and instead just discount products for a set period of time. Best to sign up to theirs or check the sale section on their website.

If Little Peckers fixed their website and allowed us to sign up to their marketing emails, we'd be able to write about it here. Unfortunately their signup process seems broken so we'd recommend looking elsewhere for money saving offers.

Ivel Valley offer some good discount codes, including a welcome discount when you first sign up. To sign up to their welcome offer, you will need to register via the popup when you first visit their website. Unfortunately this only seems to popup on first visit to the site, so if you miss it you can use the code below.

CJ Wildlife don't tend to offer many discounts, typically every couple of weeks. They don't put these on their website so you'll need to sign up to their emails to get them. The biggest offer we've seen recently was a time limited 15% off via a discount code (now ended).

Twootz offer weekly discounts via their emails. They don't put these on their website so you'll need to sign up to their emails to get them. Typically they reduce the price of their top line products, often suets, for a short time.

Ark Wildlife offer monthly discounts via their emails. They don't put these on their website so you'll need to sign up to their emails to get them. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way of telling them which products you're interested in, so quite often the discounts are for wildlife products.

Peckamix don't do many discounts at all. When they do they put them out via their marketing emails, but it's pretty rare. Usually their emails are highlighting new products or what's going on in their shop.

The Bird Buddy is a smart bird feeder camera that attempts to recognise the birds landing on your nfeeders and sends you a notification to your phone so you can see the birds enjoying their fod.
It's a great idea, but these feeders don't come cheap. Luckily we have some discount codes for Bird Buddy.

If you do want to sign up to emails, you could use a spam service such as Firefox Relay which gives you a dummy email address to use. You could then filter that in your inbox and you can turn it off at any time so they cant spam you.
For any websites that have a welcome discount, you can just sign up each time using the '+' feature in your email client. This works with Outlook and Gmail and might work with others. So for example if your email address is [email protected], you could use [email protected]. This will be seen by their system as a unique email address, but allows you to sign up to as many welcome offers as you like using the same email address. Perfect for welcome discount offers!
Please do not abuse these methods. Not all of these companies can afford to give you a discount each time so please be mindful and use them only if you need to save money. i.e. you wouldn't be able to support your local wildlife without using them.
